Minute Moves are quick activity breaks created to increase a students blood-flow and classroom readiness during class time. Students are inactive in their classrooms for hours on a daily basis because class time cannot be disturbed by game time, creating scheduling difficulties. They are 2-5 minute activities where students participate in low-intensity stretches and physical movement. Minute moves are structured in a way that allows students to return quickly to their classroom work. It is recommended that academic pieces, such as spelling and math, be implemented into minute move activities.
